Lost & Found Laundry Room Sign Tutorial

Hello, Wall Quotes™ decals fans! If your house is anything like mine, there are always socks around that have lost their match. Today, we're sharing a fun, creative, and stylish way to organize these lost socks until their mate is found. All you need for this project are Lost & Found Wall Quotes™ decal, a piece of wood (mine was 12" x 16"), some paint, Mod Podge, scrapbook paper, and clothespins.

Gather your supplies, and get ready to begin....
Step 1: Paint your wood (if desired). I decided to Mod Podge some circles out of wrapping paper to the sign, if you'd like to do the same, cut out your circles (I used a 3/4" circle punch), and place them on your wood. We'll first apply the decal to the wood, so begin by taking your decal and centering it on the frame. Tape the decal in place, and, using the tape as a hinge, flip up decal and peel off backing.

Step 2: Lay decal back down carefully and starting from the center, squeegee the vinyl decal firmly.

Step 3: Next, carefully peel back the transfer tape. To do this, start at a corner and peel the transfer tape off at a 180 degree angle-back and down rather than up and away. If necessary, use your fingers to press down on the vinyl as you peel back the tape.

Step 4: Mod Podge your circles (or whatever shape you desire) down onto your board.

Step 5: Let dry completely, and seal with one (or more) coats of Mod Podge.

Step 6: Place your clothespins on your board, and hot glue them into place.
