April Customer Photo Winner

Dana used one of our headboard designs (Scroll #19) to create this beautiful embellishment over her tub.  She cut the design in half so she could apply each section individually.  It turned out great and what a fantastic idea!

In The News Blog Reviews

We've worked with Jennifer at J. Leigh Designs before, so when she asked if we'd like to be a part of her Style Reviews, we said yes! She and another blogger friend have decided to team up and feature products they think have 'style.'

I know - we totally fit the bill - and were excited to participate. You can find her review and a nice photo walk-through tutorial of how to apply any of our wall quotes here on her blog.

She decided to use Family wall quote #15 (you can also find it under Love wall quote #7) as a focal point over the master bed. She has a free standing wall behind the bed; I think this turned out to be the perfect place for this quote.

My Oh My

Joy at Joys of Home hosted a giveaway for us this last week (which was very exciting). She posted the winners today along with an excellent new way to use our vinyl headboards. Because these are essentially oversized monogram or wall art designs, they really could be used in any number of ways.

Joy's project is phenomenally awesome. All we can say is W.O.W.

Dress Up Your Bed

I love DIY projects - partly because I can brag and say "I did that!" but mostly because we live on a tight budget (as most young families do, particularly in recent days). When we got married, we splurged on a mattress, but haven't yet sprung for a headboard & frame so it sits in a $30 basic metal frame from Costco with not much in the way of adornment.

I keep looking for lovely, smart (and cheap) headboard ideas and found a great link this week at diyideas.com (a great resource for- you guessed it - diy ideas). The entire idea gallery is cool, but this one in particular caught my eye:

We can do that! I thought. Of course, they mention making the stencil yourself - totally doable, but if you can find a lovely company (like ours) to do it for you and eliminate virtually all of the work and stress? I say go for it!

And, as coincidences go, I've been working headboard designs just this week. This is another wall art category that we'll be adding to the Belvedere Designs site soon. For now, here's a sneak peak at a few of our up-and-coming headboard designs:


Also, remember the beautiful Chinese floral designs from a few weeks ago? These would be lovely as an accent piece above a bed. And interestingly enough, we've recently had several custom vinyl wall letter orders for precisely this thing - designs for above the bed. One gal ordered this:


Just lovely isn't it? So watch for our new vinyl headboards & designs coming soon. You'll be seeing wrought iron, lots of scrolls and flourishes and some pretty florals as well. And of course, you can always customize your space with any of our wall quotes or our custom wall letters preview tool. Go crazy - dress up that bed, and with any luck, I'll even post a photo of our new headboard. (seriously, vinyl's the perfect accessory in every room - and don't I know it!)
